Generate More Sales In These Tough Economic Times

We have prospects and clients coming to us every single day telling us that their phones aren't ringing as much as they used to, and that businesses don't want to spend money because of the current economic state.  "What should we do?" is something I hear daily.

So, what SHOULD we do?  As far as I see it, we have two options.  1. Sit it out and wait for things to get better - and who knows how long that's going to take.  2. Stop sitting and do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to make business happen.

But here's the biggest problem - I know very few people who actually got into business to be a "sales person."  And now, guess what we're all considered?  SALES PEOPLE.  So back to my original question, what should we do?

I think Step One is to stop considering the option that we're "stuck between a rock and a hard place."  If people keep spinning in circles, I promise that nothing will change.  Therefore, we have to develop a system so that the masses feel COMFORTABLE considering themselves sales people - COMFORTABLE doing the necessary prospecting to help generate new business - COMFORTABLE taking their businesses to the next level (even with a down economy!).

Step Two - Invest 2 hours of your time at a seminar with other company Presidents and Owners discussing the roadblocks and obstacles that you're currently facing.  Bring your frustrations, bring your challenges, and learn a system that can take you to the next level.  Ask questions and take notes to walk out with the nuggets necessary to start pulling your business out of it's current slump.
