2009 H²O Michigan: Engineering A Solution

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

This conference is for Michigan's engineers, scientists and

related professionals to showcase solutions to Michigan's

water issues, such as:

1. Water Solutions for Industrial Processes

2. Water Solutions for Commercial/Residential Building

3. Water Treatment Trends (i.e., ozone, ultraviolet,

nanotechnology, etc.)

Proposed solutions will stimulate a discussion about ways

to protect our most valued resource and will transform the

old economy into a more sustainable future.

You are invited to take an active role in this solutions-based

event by submitting a presentation proposal addressing

any of the suggested or related topics that pertain to the

2009 theme and overall objective of the conference:

• Ground Water Discharge


• Water Conservation


• Welding and Water


• Watershed Management


• Corporate Water Footprinting


• Grey Water Utilization


• Closed Water Systems


• Water Treatment


• Trends in Water Supply Disinfection


• Public Policy

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

Your abstract for oral presentation (two paragraphs)

must clearly present any of the topics listed in relation

to the theme of the event. Please include a brief synopsis

of the benefits attendees will take away after attending

your presentation. Please e-mail your presentation

abstract including title, author affiliation and e-mail

address to Brenda Moragne at bmoragne@esd.org by the

December 10, 2008 deadline. Note on your presentation

whether it is basic, intermediate or advanced material.

Please submit in a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) or Word format. If

your presentation is accepted by the planning committee

to be included in the program for the 2009 H²O Michigan:

Engineering A Solution, you will be notified of your

acceptance by Friday, December 19, 2008.

Upon notification of acceptance, final presentations for

the workshop in PowerPoint format must be received by

Friday, February 27, 2009. These PowerPoint slides will

be included in the presentation handout and placed on the

ESD Web site.
