Have you heard the great news?

Today the US Dept of Energy announced MSU as its choice for the new FRIB (Facility for Rare Isotope Beams).  For those who are not that science-minded (like me) that means that MSU will continue to grow as one of the premeire sites of physics rsearch in the world.  If that's not enough, then how about the fact that it's expected to mean ten years worth of construction to the tune of $550 million, eventually employ 400 people in permanent positions, bring in $187 million in new taxes over the next twenty years, and $1 billion of economic activity in Michigan over the next decade?  This is a HUGE win for MSU and for the state.  YEA!!  Thought we could all use some great news.  Go Spartans!!
