Helping my daughters friend Jesse

A few days ago my daughter called me telling me the following story about her friend and what she was going thru. A couple of weeks ago her friend came home to their rented duplex to find everything they owned destroyed and in a dumpster in the driveway. Seems that the owner of the home had lost the home to forclosure. She was told that they had till after the beginning of the year to move out. They had bought a mobile home and were planning on being out well in advance of the deadline. This was not how it went down. Not only was everything they owned thrown in the dumpster , but eveything was destroyed before going in , so that they were able to save very little. I asked her to give me a list of the items they lost and am reaching out to see if we can all chip in and restore some of whet they lost . This is not a wishlist it is simply the items that were destroyed . Unreal !!

Al,

The Furniture Bank of Southeast Michigan can help with furniture needs. Have her call 248-332-1300.

I have some dishes if she needs them.

I am hopeful that some of our members take time to read this thread and check their stash to see how they can help.

When Al told me about this story at lunch yesterday I was absolutely baffled and couldn't help but wonder why. I understand that homes get lost and things get removed. But why did someone have to delight in breaking all of their stuff? Can you picture the individual throwing their computer in the dumpster AND THEN smashing it so it is unusable? That just seems unnecessary.

Thanks for sharing Al and our thoughts go out to Jesse and her family.
