A minor additional "/" glitch by one of Google's developer that had caused millions of web surfers panic is actually hard lesson learnt about "mono culture"our total dependence on a single vendor /provider.

Is Google a monoculture? If Google isn't it soon will be.

As a Web Strategy and design service provider, I accept that Google is definitely a bench mark in the web world. I think as users we should also utilize other services for effectiveness sort of like "best of the both worlds" philosophy.

I guess getting stuck in a mono culture is like a pure bred dog, e.g: a golden retriever or a black lab are great but they have health issues - bad hips, arthritis etc.If you want a healthy dog you get a mutt I guess :)

May be the google glitch is just over blown, but its a good time to ponder about monoculture dependedncy for our respective business.
