New to Motor City Connect...now what?

Greetings all. I stumbled across this apparent goldmine of networking! I signed up and created a profile. Am I officially a member nowor are there other steps? How do I get involved in the groups activities, events, etc. What is the best way to learn about when/where the events are?

It's always amazing what you find when you don't know where you're going. Imagine how much better we do when we have a guide.
You, Mr. Powers are officially a member. More importantly, you are a member of significance. Two big milestones hit yesterday. We hit 2700 members (guess which one you were) and MCC finally overtook my linkedin network in size. A big day indeed.
Two places you need to get acquaited with here on the website are:
The calendars (one is easy to find above, it's listed as "calendar" ;-) and the other is under the "important" tab labeled as "networking events". The first calendar is the one that talks about all of the MCC sanctioned events every month. The second is a list of other events that are members share. Let me know if you ever need to add anything.
The second place is under the "communicate" tab and is labeled as "discussions". This is where you get to join into the conversation. These will help us learn about you and you learn about us. It's great take part in and lead discussions here.
You'll find us a helpful group Brian. Let us know what we can do for you.

In addition to Terry's two places to start, you could go into the "search" box (upper right corner of the page) and type "New Baltimore" - - and see who else from your area is here. You can search under just about anything you can imagine, so give it a try.

I am a huge endorser of MCC. I will add to Terry and Linda's advice by saying, when looking at the calendar attend any event that Terry is the speaker. He is a wealth of knowledge. He reminds us of things we know but aren't implementing and has new insights as well.
You will find us to be welcoming and helpful. So you will find the group both enjoyable AND effective!
