Networking Event in South Central Michigan -- Need Attendees
Please mark your calendars for February 19th, at 7:00 pm for the next Work Place Initiative on Taxes 101. It's that time of year again, and for new and small businesses especially, there are many tips and techniques that will help you save money on your income taxes. Come to the forum and hear our guest speaker discuss this very subject with you.
Larry Haas is a Business Professor at Glen Oaks Community College with over 20 years of teaching experience. He has an Associate of Arts degree from Glen Oaks, a Bachelor of Business Administration from WMU, and a Master of Science in Accountancy from WMU. In his years in primarily the accounting field at GOCC, he has taught all of the accounting courses offered at the college as well as many business courses including Intro. to Business, Small Business Management, and Business Law. His awards for teaching include several nominations for Who's Who among America's Teachers and E.J. Shaheen Award for Teaching Excellence given by the college. Larry has several years of working in business and industry prior to his teaching career and has always worked with tax returns and business consulting while teaching.
Our meeting will be held at the Sturgis Senior Center (one of our sponsors - if you're interested in holding an event, check with them. Good space and reasonable prices).
There will be refreshments provided by the catering services of Carol Pierce.
We should all have a good time networking and come away with some valuable tips and techniques for filing those nasty tax returns. Hope to see you there!
