Can we work together so I can give you $100.00?

I want to help Motor City Connect members while helping a dear family friend grow his business in these times.

I want to help them generate leads in this economy. Since all business is relationship business, I wanted to ask you if I could leverage the relationships you have to create the ones they need. Of course, I wouldn't dare ask that for free. If you can help me setup a "qualified"* meeting for them, I will pay you $100.00 within two weeks of the meeting date.

So what does a qualified meeting look like?

Any meeting with a prospect who will be likely making a purchase of at least $5000.00 in space planning, interior design or office furniture in the next 3 months. We understand that not all meetings lead to business, but the meetings HAVE to be with people who are likely to buy (even if it is from someone else, BOOOO).

Why would companies what to meet?

Companies that are moving, growing, down-sizing or just ready to update their office space are what we seek. Not to belabor the point, but for those who are down-sizing, FMG can help you reconfigure your space and warehouse or help you broker your unneeded furniture.

FMG specializes in Herman Miller products, and has access to other furniture lines. Additionally, they handle flooring, artwork, window coverings, and just about anything else you need to make your office space look and feel great.

Ideal prospects: The folks that will buy the stuff:

Facility Managers, CFOs, business owners, Office managers or others that will be involved in the purchase decision.

Ideal Partners: The folks that can introduce to the prospects

Commercial Realtors, Commercial Bankers, CPAs, Movers, People in telecom or computer services

A real quick history: The why I care

My father started working at Silvers (office furniture/supplies business) back in the 1960's. He did well there and moved up to VP. In the early 80's when the Silver's brothers split up, my father went with the one who started down a new path as an owner. Years later he, and the family friend, started Facility Matrix Group. Although he retired 7 years ago, I still have a special place for the company in my heart, and they have a special place for my body in their office ;-)
