Looking for employment attorney
A friend of mine is dealing with a lay-off from a Fortune 50 company, her entire group is being eliminated across the country. She agreed to be on a transition team to help them through 3rd quarter (term 8/1), however, was recently offered a position with another firm and would prefer to take the severance package that was offered to the rest of her department ...which would term her on 5/2. Four of her team members (all out of state) who are being let go on 5/2 all agreed they would easily take her place on the transition team, since none of those 4 have found employment yet.
Her agreement with her current employer was verbal and she wants to remain on good terms with them. She's been helping them with this transition team since January.
Do you know of any good employment law firms, or specifically an attorney that she could consult with?
