Need advice on compensation for marketing person

My Southfield-based company, which searches for missing heirs, is looking to hire someone whose primary responsibility would be to establish our name and develop relationships with probate and estate attorneys and other professionals. This is a new position and we are therefore somewhat clueless what to offer as compensation.
We definitely want a good portion of the compensation to come in performance-based incentives (e.g., commissions from revenue that the position would generate). At the same time, we are aware that we must provide a base salary or draw.
If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it. If you wish to contact me directly, please do so at mzwick@assets-international.com.

Before you decide to take on another employee, you might want to take a look at hiring a marketing firm to create a complete strategy that will encompass many facets of marketing, branding and advertising. In many cases this is less expensive than trying to do it in house. Especially when you consider the resources that are available at these companies.

Michael,
My company KLM Creative Solutions is a company that offers a sales and marketing person for hire. I just started my company and I offer both commission and hourly rate payment options. You are welcome to check out my website: www.klmcreativesolutions.com . I have been paid either way, however, I would prefer an hourly rate at this point since it could pay some bills now. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into door to door sales/marketing, however, face to face interaction is the best way to get a customer. If you would like to give me a call to discuss this further - please feel free to do so. This is based on my experience in getting paid either way.
