How to receive press release information?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I operate a web site and a blog dedicated to the classic and muscle car scene. I am looking to see how I can be added to the distribution when a press release is issued relating to anything automotive releated.

Your best bet would be to contact the organizations from which you would like to receive these releases directly. If all else fails, you may also want to create a Google News Alert for yourself as well. That way you will know when one of the organizations you are following has distributed something newsworthy.

Thanks Mike. I do have Google news alerts setup presently and that provides some content.
I do not know all of the organizations, there are far too many to list.
In that case, for now, create a list and send request to your top five organizations from which you would like to receive press releases. In this letter, state who you are and what you plan to do with this information. Additionally, include a link to your blog so that they have the opportunity to determine if what you are writing is a good fit with their promotion and/or marketing plans.
