Need someone with trucking industry background

I've spent many years in the trucking business, mostly heavier units, but have some knowledge.  Inquiry is a bit broad, what are you looking to do with the trucks, which sorta dictates what you need to look at?

ok, am considering buying a business that owns a contract with a company using the trucks that he owns but does not drive.  Am conserned as to what to look out for .  Do I worry about the trend towards making owners employees of the company?  How do I determine if the compensation is adequate?  How do I find out if a contract is transferable?  What is the current trend in this business?

The trucks are less 5 years old with one being a lease.
