Spacewalk Detroit

Spacewalk is a project Warrior Girl
created in 1997 to unite and heal communities in need. It originated in
San Fransisco and in 2009 she brought the energy home to Detroit after her many
travels around the world performing with groups such as Cirque Du
Soliel.



One of the key elements of Spacewalk is the Superhero Soap
Opera and performances held appearing improvised in the moment on the street. The Superhero Soap Opera has characters, a plot, and a purpose. The journey through the streets of Detroit
ended with a feast served to the impoverished at Third Ave & Martin
Luther King Blvd. A corner at one time called a tent city for the
homeless. On our journey we prepared several barrels of stone soup -
with community contributions of food to the stock.
