You are so right, Terry. Some of us have been taught not to blow our own horn, but how else would I get to know what you've done and what you're good at, unless you tell me?

As Anita has started this off, what are you looking for in 2010? Shout out a trial ASK for Networked, Inc. and let's see what the universe has to offer...

My first ASK is that people will make it a point to come to this site when they need assistance or feel like offering it. We could do a lot of good together.

My business ASK is to infect as many people with the Networked* mindset. I would do that through Speaking to groups and associations- Training company's about doing business in the NOW Economy and Coaching individuals to be their best self.

My 2010 ASK is I want to speak on a cruise and at a resort after finding out I made Crain's 40 under 40 list ;-)

Ok, here is an ASK:  I want to pick up 3 new clients for 2010 who want to build social networking sites of thier own.

And I want to find 3 clients for other people.

I have two ASKs

1. Company's or individuals interested in learning more about SharePoint....can provide consulting, development and/or training. Or to maximize what you have already.

2. I have a great monthly meeting for Program and Project Managers.  Many good topics and information shared and provided.  Networking and food round out the meeting!

This month's meeting is Tuesday January 12th in Novi.  Come at 6:00 for food and networking and at 6:30 for the presentation.

Honestly I think this "ASK" thing is the hardest thing I've ever had to do since I quit smoking!!!  Why? Because no one ever ASKs...what a vicious circle!!  But 2010 is a new year to try new things, sooooo...

Looking for those interested in running for office (any level) and are in need of fundraising, full campaign strategy and/or grassroots assistance.  Clients include individuals as well as organizations in need of advocacy strategy/assistance.

Stay & Play Social Club's ask is to find participants that want to have some fun, network on the court, while releasing some stress by playing Volleyball in Bloomfield Hills at Bloomfield Hills Middle School. 21 and up. No experience required. We offer recreational and intermediate levels. We can place you on a team or place small groups/full teams.

OR if you would like to take volleyball lessons and learn the basic skills, let us know. We have had successful classes with a teacher, Tina Sulik, that has received wonderful reviews!!

I'm looking for organizations exiting from first round funding that need to ramp up.

Growing businesses often avoid process documentation and the technical writing necessary to define the business and its many procedures and work instructions. This is generally because they are so focused on product development, that when growth occurs there is no foundation to train resources. Organizations often make the mistake of handing it over to HR or Quality personnel. That isn't their strength.

Process documentation and technical writing is not an easy task and generally not given a high priority or worse yet, considered an uneccessary operating expense. Those that treat it as an asset with be thankful during the M&A stage when the buyer sees a well defined organization.

My ASK is to sit down with small business owners or sales professionals who are looking for a resource for supporting and growing their business. As the Executive Director of the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce, I am charged with assisting our business members reach their goals. We offer the most value of any Chamber in the area and actively engage our members to make sure they take advantage of all we offer. We provide networking opportunities - in person and online; marketing support; social media marketing enhancement; free small business workshops through Oakland Community College; business advocacy; money saving opportunities on health insurance, office products and much more; and a friendly, supportive community of other small business professionals. In addition, we constantly seeking ways to bring even more value to our members. We are an ever-evolving organization based on the needs of our members. Oh, and you do not have to have your business in Ferndale to belong.

In 2009, we grew 13%. This year, my goal is to add 100 new members while also increasing our retention.

So again, my ASK is for you to help me reach my goal, either by calling me or attending one of our events to learn more; or by helping to spread the word about all the Ferndale Chamber has to offer.
