What can Motor City Connect do for you?
Cheers to 2010!
Let’s make this the best year yet for one another and for our community.
As a starting point, please come to the ASK section of our site and tell us what we can do for you (if you want a refresher on the ASK, click HERE).
The more specific you can be in telling us how we can help you, the more likely we are to be able to do so.
If you’re looking for new business, tell us who your ideal clients are. If you’re looking for a new employee, describe their skills. If you’re looking for work, don’t say “I need a job” tell us what would make you want to kick the sheets off every morning and get to the office.
Sharing this information is a great way to demonstrate what networking can do for each of us.
The more of us who find what we seek, the better our Detroit will be. Now more than ever we need to stand together and make things happen!
Don’t feel badly about asking for help. It’s a big world, and we all have a LOT to do. Enrolling others is a fantastic way to get more done.
So tell us, What can we do for you TODAY????
Connectedly yours-
Terry Bean

I am looking to work with a realtor who would like my help in closing more deals. Have an inspection and have things that need to be fixed? I can help. Clients love the house and hates the colors? I can help. Maybe it's a repo and got trashed. I can help. If it makes a home look, feel and act better I do it.(Thank You Terry). I am licensed and insured. Check out my testimonials on Linked In and my web site www.glenmillerthehomedoctor.com. I can be reached at 734-255-9793
All of the positive energy emanating from this group has had an effect on me, my goals and strategies. I have looked at my gratitude list, it is a lot longer than I felt (but that's why we do it). I have also been told (by Charlie & Terry) to tell somebody my goals. I am telling you.
I have the platform and opportunity to do this on a grand scale. Come with me, help me, and share in growing that light.
My ASK;
and
I will make it easier and more beneficial for their Core Corporate Contributors and others to give, and give more.
Thank you for your energy,

Terry, you are right! I have gained a lot more insight about MCC members' businesses from this post alone! Thanks for the reminder!
As a human resources professional, I started a business where I connect HR executives with specific consultants who they need to solve their people issues. I am seeking HR Managers or Business Owners who need help - but don't know who to contact. The B2B Connection consists of experienced, tried and true consultants in the areas of 1) labor relations, 2) compensation and benefits, 3) international HR, 4) domestic and international relocation, 5) Recruitment 6) Leadership and Training and 7) Organizational Development.
Please contact me if you or someone you know has a people issue which is affecting their company's growth or productivity. We can help!

Lisa, have you reached out to Keith Stonehouse? I know he will be running again in 2011!
If you haven't checked out our East Side MCC morning meeting, I highly suggest you do. You will get a chance to experience first hand the goodness that Lori Maceri and Soup & Scoop dish out.
Catherine, I think Rick Reid has reached out to you, on the off chance he hasn't, reach out to him. He is a great guy for you to know. Also look up Lori Scott on MCC and tell her I sent you. For the rest of you looking for some inner guidance, Catherine is definitely a person who can help you get connected to it!
The programmanagementforum.org that Donna spoke of is the real deal for project and program managers. Go check out their monthly meetings...soon!
If you are athletic or want to be, you should definitely check out the programs at Stay and Play Social Club. Stephanie and Erin do an excellent job of bringing out the kid in you.
The Ferndale Chamber is gonna be strong in 2010. If you're looking to make new relationships, be sure to check it out!
I have seen the work Glenn Miller does and highly endorse him for any remodeling or fixer up stuff.
Mike, be sure to reach out to Menachem Kneispeck here on MCC. He is the co-founder of Operation Kid Equip and knows his way around the Detroit Non-Profit scene.
Gail, do you know Kris Powell at Benepro? He may be a great person for you to meet.
Keep these ASKs coming folks!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Terry! Motor City Connect is a member of the Ferndale Chamber and an integral part of what makes us strong...each of our members is.
Oh, and I second what Terry says about Stay & Play Social Club. I played volleyball & softball in their leagues for years. They have all levels of competition, from beginner to very competive; their Happy Hours are great for meeting people; and they spread their leagues and events all around metro Detroit to make it convenient for all. I made many friends through their leagues (not to mention found it a great source for my real estate business), most of whom I am still friends with. SPSC is a great asset to metro Detroit!
Thanks Jennifer! Your kind words are greatly appreciated! Imagine what we could do if SPSC, MCC and the Ferndale Chamber worked together on an event!? We are excited to get involved with the chamber and hope that my schedule allows me to join Erin on the 19th.
My Ask is to grow and retain customers as well. I am looking to add 10 new customers for 1st quarter.
I am starting an awareness campaign this month and need 10 companies to take advantage of our complimentary communications analysis this month.

Terry,
I may have a group that may want to have you speak with them, which may spread to a couple other similar groups in the area. Please contact me to see what needs to be done.

Terry,
We are looking for businesses that need to increase their exposure and brand awareness. Our video products work for almost every type of business or organization and right now we can produce the videos for free. This allows the business owner a risk-free way to see the advantages of web video for themselves.
Thanks,
Damon
