Job Title: Product and Content Search Engine Optimization Intern

Hours and Pay: Intern will be required to put in 10 hours per week/40 hours per month with a weekly evaluation meeting or phone call to go over new strategies or improvements that can be made. Rate is $8 per hour. Minimum timeframe for this is three months and a final evaluation at the end of that period may result in increased hours and further employment. 

Job Description: Each week the intern will be given a set of products from the website to write descriptions for. The expectation is 10 products per week/2 per weekday. Product descriptions should include two paragraphs of at least four sentences per paragraph. There will be two additional fields that will need to be completed on the site including a short description (2-3 sentences that is a brief synopsis of the product) and a related keywords section (15-30 related keywords or phrases). 

Getting Started: After the student is accepted into Verde’s internship program, there will be a 1-2 hour initial training to go through further guidelines for the job and learn the website’s back end interface. After the first month of products, we may break out into other content site posts such as landing pages, blog posts, press releases or new category descriptions. 

Verde Lifestyles Inc Background: After approximately one year of product and industry research as well as financial planning, Co-Owners Ryan Forrest and Danielle Brycz launched Verde this past October.
