I just sent this blast:
This e-mail sponsored by TelNet and supports their role in changing the economy of Detroit. Learn more HERE.
Every now and again I wonder what the impact of Motor City Connect really is. I think about things like:
- Are our members getting enough value?
- Are they happy to be part of this organization?
- What would they like to see more and/or less of?
- How can we compel them to share more on their profiles and the discussion boards?
- What would inspire them to put down the computer and meet with us in real life too?
- And of course I wonder, are they even paying attention?
It's the last one that is hardest for me to answer.
I hear people say they've made great connections, learned valuable things and have a refreshed outlook on Detroit. This is wonderful feedback. And whether I hear it or not, I sure hope those statements ring true for you.
The opportunity is here. All you have to do is take advantage of it. If you don't know how to do so, ASK. We will be happy to get you connected to whatever it is you seek.
Will you do me a quick favor? I setup this email account just to see how many people read these. Can you take 8 seconds and click HERE (it will open your email browser and address a message to me) so I can get an accurate count? I would really appreciate it. Feel free to share thoughts, thanks or anything you're moved to write.
Here are a couple of MCC events

Thank you to MCC for joining our efforts to help clean up various areas throughout metro Detroit. It is amazing how removing graffiti and picking up trash can make such a positive impact on an area. And with more and more cities needing to cut back on services, it's more important than ever that we as a community step up to do our part and show our pride for our great City and region!
Visit: http://cleanthed2010.eventbrite.com/ to see the list of projects and how you can get involved. We are also looking for donations of flowers, gloves, grass seed, bottled water and snacks. If interested, please contact me at jennifer@ferndalechamber.com.
Thank you,
Jennifer Roosenberg
