Senior Gearbox Engineer Needed

Senior Gearbox Engineer (Plymouth) - leads the design and development of gearbox assemblies from customer provided functional specifications for military and alternative energy applications.   Requires proficient gear, bearing, and seal design experience and associated engineering analysis capabilities.   Design gears, shafts, bearings, seals and other required gearbox components to meet total system level performance requirements; Provides necessary supporting analyses for design reviews to assure evolving designs will meet functional intent; Plans and develops test plans; Leads test plan execution and prototype fabrication; Manages project execution to overall schedule. The ability to independently lead project execution with the customer, designers, analysts, purchasing, and operations is highly desirable. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 7-10 years work experience with gears and gear assemblies required.  This is a long-term contract position.  Send resume to humanresources@locper.com  EOE  MFVD
