At 3:21 on March 13 the hashtag #313Dlove trended worldwide (meaning it was in the top 10 things tweeted about). Now everyone knows how much we love Detroit. Way to go!!

Life Remodeled
Long time MCC member Mark Besh is involved with a program called "Life Remodeled". Similar to Extreme Homemaker in terms of what they do for houses, Life Remodeled helps people get a lot more than a home. They help them keep it. They provide financial literacy and the resources people need through coaching and counseling to make sure their lives are transformed. They're doing great things and are currently being shopped for their own TV show.
Their benefit concert is tonight at 7:00 near Royal Oak. tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door. You will have the opportunity to be in the DVD. Better yet, your money will be used to help build 7 new homes this summer.
Home Depot $250k giveaway
Chris Hart has asked us to vote in the Aprons in Action 250k giveaway that supports non-profits. 2 non-profits from the Detroit area made it to the finals. A vote for the Ronald McDonald would be great HERE.

We are excited to partner with the Ferndale Area Chamber and head to Ikea for a morning networking meeting on Thursday, May 3 from 8:30-10. The meeting will end just in time for the store to open up. You know you want to hang out in Ikea ;-) You can RSVP HERE.
MCC Live Royal Oak
We had a GREAT meeting in Commerce with 33 people in attendance. We discussed how to network at events more effectively. On 3/27 at the Oxford Inn in Royal Oak we will talk about how to use social media status updates effectively too. There's more to it than telling us "I'm sitting on my patio". RSVP HERE.
