Livonia's own Sheila Taormina is about to make history as the first U.S. athlete to ever compete in the Olympics in three different sports, but her family may not be able to see it. Travel to Beijing is understandably expensive so Sheila's sister has designed a cool & totally unique T-shirt to help fund the family's travel. Please take a moment to learn more about this remarkable, nearly 40-year old Olympic athlete and consider buying a shirt or two to support the cause. Here's a link to learn more:

I admire the dedication of a fellow over 30 Michigander (yes, I LOVE that word) to do what it takes to compete against a world of teenage athletes. I am looking forward to wearing my T-shirt!

I don't have the print copy yet, but I see online that Sheila T is on the front page of the Sunday Freep Sports section. Cool!
