I'm currently working with a very talented actuary who has recently been downsized because his department is moving out of state and his family roots are in Michigan.
Many insurance companies are using consultants to solve their actuarial needs however may benefit from working with someone full time while saving moving in the long run...actuary consultants are very expensive.
My candidates specialty is coming up with creative pricing options on their insurance products as well as excess and surplus lines pricing.
Recent accomplishments
Redesigned standard pricing analyses to incorporate various relativities for non-admitted programs to help underwriting pinpoint rate need more quickly. Streamlined pricing and profitability monitoring processes, incorporating SAS statistical software with Microsoft Office. Created a self-diagnosis algorithm that is used company wide to monitor internal data consistency.
