I DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN A DOWN ECONOMY! Instead - I wish to support those around me!

Fantastic idea, Keith!  While political parties are arguing over whether or not the economy is stable and how to fix it if it isn't, we're watching some of our friends, neighbors, or family struggle.  Whether republican or democrat, it's obvious to me that while the politicians fight it out, we need to rely on each other to make it through these times.   The truth is, I believe we are in our finest hour.  I believe that over the next couple of years we are going to see some fantastic and creative new business ideas & marketing methods come from all of this. I also believe that the business community is going to be more of just that - a community.   That being said, I have friends, family, and clients in the following fields that I would not hesitate to refer:

I really love what Israel said.  Yes, there's a place for the politians (after all, it was their policies that got us into this mess...).  But the real turnaround is going to come from each of us - small business owners who are out there making the future happen, supporting each other. 

I personally think the creative genius of the American people knows no bounds, and shines the most in times of adversity.  I KNOW that the future of the transportation industry is right here in Michigan, not just the past.  The future of green technology, of medicine, and of all those up-and-coming industries is right here.  I can't wait to see the brillians and creativity that is unleashed from these hard times.

And, more than ever, it reminds me that we all rise together, or we all sink together.  For me, one of the silver linings of this big grey cloud is that I am forced to connect, and to be just as much FOR others as I am FOR myself.  That's an easy thing to forget when times are good, and is so critical to not just doing well in business, but in BEING well as a human being.

You all need to know about something I did.  I copied my post above ( me on the soap box) with the list to an email I sent out to friends and clients. The response was fantastic! I've been able to generate business for some, and make good connections for others. Just like the post above, I didn't list any names - mostly because in most cases I know more than one individual in each profession.  Try it and see what happens!
